Sadness has made its presence once again known for my family and me. Several months ago, my Aunt fell and had to be placed in traction. After several trips between the hospital and nursing home, my Aunt passed on to be with the Lord. She was the wife of my Dad’s brother who passed away last summer.
The minister who officiated at her funeral is a beloved family friend. When he was describing my Aunt he said the Bible term “virtuous woman” could describe the kind of woman she was. What a wonderful legacy she has left behind for her son and grandchildren… to be remembered as a virtuous woman. There is no doubt her family knew and felt the love she so freely gave. She was a praying woman, whom I’m sure was continually uplifting her family in prayers.
When my sister and I were growing up, during the summer she would come and pick us up for an overnight visit, so we could spend some time with our cousin. Her daughter was around the same age as my sister and I and we always had a terrific time when we were together. A few years ago, our cousin passed on to be with the Lord as well. I’m truly blessed to have these wonderful memories.
Thought I’d post the words to Proverbs 31:10 in remembrance of my Aunt. “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.” My aunt will be remembered as being a prayerful, loving and kind virtuous woman… she will be greatly missed.
Until the next time, may the Lord bless and watch over you.
Always Smiles,
Gin

She is at peace now…
But she’s not in traction no more.. She’s dancing upon the throne of God.
“Virous woman” I strive and pray to leave that legacy.
Hi Heidi,
Yes… it is comforting to know she is with the Lord and we shall see her again one day.
Blessings,
Gin
Gin, what a wonderful tribute to your aunt, and what greater words could be used to describe her than the phrase “a virtuous woman.”
I seek to have such said of me one day!
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Janet

Hey Gin,
Just saw a referral visit from your blog…don’t know if it was from you or someone else. Anyway, it made me think of you again (I’ve thought of you several times). Since I hadn’t heard from you in a while, thought I’d leave you a note. Hope all is well with you…didn’t know if you just got extremely busy or if “something is up.”
When you get a chance, please let me know if you get this message.
Blessings!

Marybeth,
What a joy it was to read your wonderful comment. Sorry it has taken me awhile to reply. I have been away from blogging for a few months now due to extra work growing my at-home business and family health issues with my parents. Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to start blogging again.
Blessings,
Gin
Hi Janet,
What a thrill it was to hear from you! I have been away from blogging now for a few months. Mainly due to extra work required to grow my at-home business and health issues with the folks, in particularly my Mom. She had several on going health issues and then several weeks ago we received the news she had uterine cancer. It was definitely a valley experience. But as always, the Lord is faithful and was with us each step of the journey. Despite the fact that the initial prognosis given by the surgeon following her surgery did not look good, we later received word that the patheology report showed that the cancer was contained to the uterus and she did not need any post-treatment for cancer. I can still remember the feel of goose pebbles on my skin that came from the Holy Spirit’s presence when I learned this astonishing and terrific news about Mom. No doubt, the Lord gave us this truly spectacular blessing. I hope everything has been going well for you and your family. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I can once again resume blogging.
Blessings,
Gin
